Notes
Spawn: wheat grains/wheat bran/CaCO₃ 88/10/2 wt% + 20 wt% water, 2 weeks at 26–28 °C and 70–80 % RH. Sawdust mix 88/10/2 wt% (sawdust/bran/CaCO₃) + 60 wt% water, 1 kg bags with 1 g spawn, colonised for 2 weeks. Then mixed with sterilised EFB fibres in a volume ratio EFB:sawdust 4:3 and filled into block moulds (wet density approx. 239 kg/m³); 4–5 days in the mould, 3–4 days without (7–9 days in total). Dried for 2 days at 70 °C (block density 120–130 kg/m³), then hot-pressed for 50 min at 120 °C and 20 MPa and post-cured for 24 h at 50 °C (board density approx. 954 kg/m³). Temperature and humidity entered as the middle of the range.
