Accuracy of the data

MycoShare collects experimental data on mycelium-based composites from published studies and from contributions by its community. The values depend strongly on the fungus, substrate, process, specimen geometry and test standard, and are often not directly comparable. The operator only provides the platform; the data are not guaranteed to be complete, correct or up to date.

The data are not a substitute for your own testing. Do not use them as the sole basis for structural design, fire safety or other safety-relevant decisions.

Reviewed and community content

Every experiment carries a status:

• Reviewed – the editorial team has checked the values against the cited source.
• Community – contributed by users and approved for publication, but not yet verified against a source.

Comments marked ✓ correct or ✗ not correct express the opinion of their authors, not of the editorial team.

Contributions and comments

Contributors are responsible for the content they submit. Please only submit data you are entitled to share and always cite the source. The editorial team may edit, reject or remove contributions and comments, in particular if they are wrong, unlawful or off-topic. To report a problem, please use a comment on the experiment concerned or contact us via the legal notice.

Liability for content

As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws (§ 7 (1) DDG). We are not obliged to monitor third-party information that is transmitted or stored, or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is only possible from the moment we become aware of a specific infringement; we will remove such content immediately.

Liability for links

MycoShare links to external websites such as publishers and DOI resolvers, over whose content we have no influence. The respective provider is always responsible for the content of linked pages. We had no knowledge of any legal infringements at the time of linking. If we become aware of infringements, we will remove such links immediately.

Licence of the database content (CC BY 4.0)

The content of MycoShare – the compiled experiments, measurements, recipes, review status and all contributions of the community – is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, redistribute and adapt it, including commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit.

Suggested credit: “MycoShare (myco-share.com), Institut für Baukonstruktion, Universität Stuttgart, CC BY 4.0”, together with the original publication named at the experiment.

• Contributors must agree to this licence with a checkbox before they submit a contribution or comment. The agreement is recorded (date, time, wording and version of the wording) together with the name and optional email address given. By agreeing, contributors also confirm that they are entitled to share their contribution.
• The original studies keep their own licences. The sample data were taken from open-access publications licensed under CC BY 4.0; each experiment names and links its source.
• This licence applies to the content, not to the logo, the name MycoShare or the software.

Copyright and licences

The sample data were extracted from open-access publications licensed under CC BY 4.0; each experiment names and links its source. The full texts of the publications are not hosted on MycoShare; each experiment links to the source via its DOI. Any file that is added later remains under the licence of its publisher and authors.

Privacy

When you contribute data or write a comment, we store the name you give and, optionally, your email address (the email is not published), together with the record of your licence agreement (date and time, licence, wording). The site does not load external fonts, scripts or trackers. Details: privacy policy.
