Notes

Substrate supplemented with 5 % rice bran, 1 % CaCO₃, 2 % CaSO₄ and 0.2 % Na₂SO₄ on a dry mass basis (shares normalised to 100 % here). Spawn on sorghum grains; 5 g spawn on 500 g substrate (1:100). Pre-growth in bag for 14–21 days at 30 °C, then cold-pressed into the mould at 0.5 MPa for 10 min, 3 days in the mould and 3 days without mould. Dried for 24–72 h until constant mass. Mass loss = moisture content (ASTM D644, wet basis).
